New announcements not appearing

    I am trying to add new announcements to my timeline and they are not appearing. I currently have 65 published announcements and the 66th won’t appear. It doesn’t seem to be formatted any differently from the others. I have the Time Frame set to All, so it shouldn’t be a date issue. All of my announcements are in the past.

    Is there a limit on how many announcements I can add? Is there a maximum length to my WordPress page?

    Also, I noticed that deleting an announcement (sending it to the trash, but not emptying the trash) doesn’t make it disappear on the site? Perhaps a lag in refreshing is happening? I hit Refresh numerous times in my browser. No change.

    Hi,

    There is no limit to the number of announcements per timeline. The query is set to -1 removing any limitations. There is also no limit to the length of a page within WordPress. It may be a caching issue. Are you running any caching plugins?

    In regards to the deleting an announcement, this is most certainly a caching issue. We have built in caching which is cleared automatically every 12 hours or so, or gets reset when a new announcement is created or an old one is updated. I’m not sure deleting an announcement triggers a cache refresh – which is certainly something that should happen. I will have to look into that and push out a patch if need be.
