• Hi,

This is about my question in the other linked threat.

I think it’s better to start a new threat tonot get sidetracked from the main issue there.

    You replied

@jpnl the required permissions are those required by the Instagram Public Content Access
You can read more about this here -> https://developers.facebook.com/docs/instagram-api/

I am referring to the settings in this screenshot.

I don’t know how to map the permissions on the left with the requested permissions on the right, but if I am correct, you need to get 4 out of 6 permissions and you ask for 7.

To show an Instagram feed, I don’t want to give that much access to my Facebook page.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @jpnl

The token you generate is not visible for us, is only visible for you

All those permissions are required by the app to create a token with permissions to display images from tags

Our app doesn’t consume data from your fan page, only creates the token

The plugin consumes data from facebook API with the generated token

    Kind regards

Hi @quadlayers well, technically it gives your app permission to manage account, users, page settings and ads. According to the specs in the screenshot on the left, you only need the first 3 permissions + 1 of the last three to read the Insta feed. You now ask for 7 permissions and I don’t see why.

There is nothing more to say about this
You’re free to use any other Instagram plugin
    Kind regards

I know I can. But why don’t you simply explain why you ask for more permissions then required according to the specs?

There is nothing more to say about this
We’ve requested all necessary permission to make feed tags works
You can go through the process of creating your own app to see what’s required
    I’ll close this ticket
    Kind regards
