New blog post emails to subscribers not working

  • Hello Everyone.
    I updated my WordPress and now the automatic email to subscribers detailing a new blog post is not working. I have been looking at the forums for the last few days trying to remedy this problem – to no avail. I only have 33 followers since I started my fashion blog in January and I am afraid I will lose them. A few followers who I know personally have told me that they haven’t received emails in weeks. The setting shows that it is supposed to post at 9:00 am. I am very frustrated. Can anyone help please?

    I use a simple subscribe plugin, but the setting on WordPress for notifications at 9:00am to all of my subscribers – I thought was built in. I hadn’t added anything special to send the messages out earlier, and there was no problem. So, I am not sure what plugin, if any, I should add. Can you recommend something?
