    Hi All,
I’m a new blogger and recently installed WordPress. None of the images show – no banner, no buttons, nothing. When it was set up, it was set to 755 which should be sufficient. The Settings | Media | Full URL path to files box is blank. I can view the jpgs if i download them locally so i know that they are there and functioning. I’m at a loss.
    Regards,
    Mark

What i am seeing is 403 errors… the banner graphic for example

Apparently your host wants you to have an index page in every folder: https://www.killerkayak.com/blog/wp-content/themes/twentyten/images/headers/path.jpg

You can do as they say, or contact them to get this restriction turned off.

You can also go into your hosting control panel and turn off directory indexing if it’s not already and see if that helps. If you’re comfortable manually editing your .htaccess file, you can turn off directory indexing by adding this line:

    Options -Indexes

Try all of the above and see if it fixes your problem. If it doesn’t, I’d definitely contact your host as it looks to me like a server-side issue.

Something happened to my .htaccess file and was corrupted. It was renamed and recreated. Case solved.

    Thanks “zooini”!

    Awesome – glad it’s fixed!
