    Hi Gabe,

Is this new feature with latest version done automatically or is there a related setting to switch on?

Clear caching once a day via WP Cron in the case over 24 hours have passed since the last clearance (e.g. in case the admin hasn’t cleared the caching in a long time or hasn’t touched the Dashboard for days)

    Thanks!

@dsl225 this is done whenever the WP Cron is triggered (e.g. when someone is accessing the website). So far, the cache was cleared in certain situations through the clear cache link, whenever the “Settings” were updated or when a post/page has been updated.

If the admin has a small website and he’s the only one managing and for some reason, he’s unavailable (e.g. goes to vacation for a week), then it’s good to have such a feature as in some cases the caching directory can grow large and if the admin will trigger very late the cache clearing link, then if there are too many files and he’s on a managed hosting package, there could be timeouts and the clear caching won’t complete and he has to manually connect via SFTP and delete the files, not fun at all as there are users who have done that. I hope it makes sense! Let me know if you need more clarification ??

That makes sense and is a nice feature indeed.
