New content doesn’t show even after 24hrs

Purchased a theme about five days ago and have been working with it well for three days. New content and site changes showed instantly everywhere, on my computers and mobile internet as well as others in other locations. Two days ago, whilst adding content and a bit of page height limiting CSS given to me by the developer, things started to go very wrong.
As instantly as if a switch had been thrown new content added and page adjustments made failed to show on front end. This affected desktop and laptop initially, iPhone and iPad seemed immune. About the same time when I would click the ‘VIEW PAGE’ link at the top of the page to open a new tab to view the updated page the WP-Admin disappeared from the URL and the WP nav disappeared also. No new content and also, on the newly launched tab, logged out of admin.
By the end of day three mobile and tablet ceased to display new content and page changes also. The changes are visible in the Admin back end but invisible to the front end visitors to the site.
The developer told me to use Chrome Web Tools with disable cache activated to view the site, this did allow me to view the new content. However despite deactivating the caching plugins in the back end, checking with the host company to ensure that the site isn’t being cached, the only way to view the website with the updated content is to do so using chrome’s web tools (cache disabled) or use a proxy like kproxy.com. Clearing browser caches (Safari, Firefox, Chrome) doesn’t allow me, or anyone, anywhere, to view new content.Unless as stated the site visitor uses some web tools thing to force the cache or view the website using a proxy browser.
The developer is blaming the host company, the host company has said it could be something to do with the developers template (they don’t cache my site) and a third person suggested it was a DNS issue. I performed several DNS flushes just out of desperation.
I made some content changes yesterday but 12 hrs later the new content still isn’t visible to anyone ‘Broadband’ or ‘4G’ mobile, tablet and computer. Some content changes made 24hrs ago are also still not visible to visitors of the front end.
I strongly suspect that a visual composer element had an argument with something else in the coding and has effectively broken the template. The remedy of which is to delete everything and start again.
Desperately need some advice – any insight or guidance will be greatly appreciated.
