New Domain Name

  • First some quick background info:

    I previously had gretchenwrites.com as my main domain, with a new domain, muppetous.com, parked on top of it. Now that the new domain has fully propagated, I have asked my host to switch the two, so that muppetous.com is the main domain and gretchenwrites.com will stay parked on top of that until it expires.

    As soon as my host did this for me, muppetous.com became inaccessible, and gretchenwrites.com doesn’t look like it’s supposed to. All of my files from gretchenwrites.com were maintained with the new domain name. Is there something I need to change in the MySQL database to point it to the new domain? (That’s the only guess I have as to what’s wrong.) Help! ??

    Thanks, Podz. I also had to have my host fix something with the new domain, and now both domains point to the right thing.

    I have another problem, though: Although my URLs point to the right site, I am no longer able to get into my WordPress admin to write new posts, edit, etc. When I try to do so, I get a screen that says:

    I don’t know this system well enough to understand what the problem is. Can anyone help?

    Get rid of the empty space after the last ?> in that file, on that line
