I just purchased a domain https://www.theactorscraft.com and transferred my wordpress.com blog over to it. And I’m running www.ads-software.com on the site, and now I don’t know what I’m supposed to do with my wordpress.com one? It was actorblogger.wordpress.com. I had submitted the actorblogger one to search engines, and now that site shows up when people do various searches. I need them to know that my other site is now the one that I’m updating and using.

What is the best way to handle this situation? I’m not sure if there is an obvious answer, or if there are ethical considerations that I’m not aware of….I’m quite new to all of this.

Thanks so much for your help!
    Russ

I recently did the same, abandon WP.com and co-located that blog with three others I have.

You have one of two options because of the editing limitations at WP.com.

Post a final post at the .com blog directing people to the new blog, or delete it.

Eventually Google will for the most part ignore the deleted blog and pick up the new one.
