• Hi,

I was checking my blog page & it seems that new on-page email subscriptions aren’t populating the subscribers-list when waiting to be confirmed.

I’ve tried using various emails but none are getting through via the subscription form, nor any ‘green text’ acknowledgement that the signup request has been sent.

However, when I use the ‘test email’ facility I see the green ‘Email have been sent successfully’ prompt & then receive the ‘test email sent’ email with the link to subscribe.

Also, when I add an email address manually & set it to unconfirmed, a ‘request to confirm’ email is received & then when I click on the link I get a “confirmed msg”, so the table is being updated correctly.

I guess I can test if there’s any clashing plugins by deactivating all the others then reactivating one by one, but I wondered whether before that you might be able to see if there’s anything ‘obvious’ I’ve not done to cause this, because it was working when first installed?

    Thanks

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

HI Aditya Shah, I don’t know if there’s any simple check for this as I’ve got about 28 plugins live & it’s going to take a fair while to switch them on & off one by one.

Especially since I’ve got others in the deactivated section too.

I noticed a few other people had commented about a similar issue of no longer being able to sign up via the form, any thoughts as to what might be causing this?

    Thx

    Hi,

If you know which plugins you have activated/updated recently, temporarily deactivating those plugins might also help.

Generally, this happens due to plugin conflict and that’s what I said. This also happens when Email Subscribers is not on the latest version, and so try updating the plugin if it’s not the latest version.

    Hope this helps you.

Yup. I think I’m going to have to switch them all off & switch them back on one by one.

Assuming I identify which one’s causing the problem I’ll post back on here so others will know too.

    Hi Aditya Shah,

Well solving this problem was quicker than I expected!

I’m running with 27 plugins & didn’t fancy toggling each one on and off but when I looked at the I thought it was probably going to relate to either, Autoptimize, Contact Form 7 or Flamingo so I deactivated all three & your plugin ran again.

Activating Contact Form 7 and Flamingo was ok and it as only when I reactivated Autoptimize that the problem came back.

So I think I’ll need to revisit my page optimization since I’ve probably not allowed for some updates in the recent updates.

Anyhow, it shows it’s not your plugin that’s at fault.

SIDENOTE: One oddity I did notice was that when I used some test emails when Autoptimize was live and those emails weren’t sent through as waiting to be confirmed, when I tried to use those emails again they would never appear in the subscribers list as unconfirmed.

It was as if they weren’t being accepted even though there was apparently no record of them ever being sent the first time.

Don’t know if you’ve ever had anyone else raise a query about something like that?

Hi, Glad to know that your issue was resolved by knowing about the plugin which was conflicting.

We did not have had any such complaints about subscribers not being captured, however, I checked the issue and it seems like the subscribers are not recorded. I have updated our development team about it. Hope they fix this in the next update.
