New event creates non-existent page

90% love it! However, every new event creates a non-existent page/permalink which is automatically linked ‘if’ you have the option to ‘Make event titles clickable’ selected in the Settings. Without subsequently creating a page for that event, the link goes nowhere.
What I want is to ONLY link the ones where I add an Event URL.
Suggestions for improvements.
Redo the Add New Events feature so that you’re not using the Post/Page input editor.
Use a custom page that only allows for a title, URL option, and calendar.
Change the code such that if you don’t specify a URL, then the title is not ‘linked’.See my Calendar of Events for example on right side.
