    Since the beginning of this year, I have been unable to create a new event that displays in the calendar. I also cannot edit previously entered events. When creating an event I see it in the events list. The date displayed in the events list is today’s date. Any attempt to change that date to a future date fails. After the upload, the date has reverted back to today’s date. Similarly for any modifications in the calendar boxes, e.g. venue. I am using Divi, but deactivating all plugins and using the 2016 theme does not help. When I attempt to view an event I am told that it does not exist. This was all working fine in December. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

  • I’m experiencing the same thing. When I try to create & save a new event the date reverts to today, & all other event details get wiped out (time, venue, etc.).
    My new event doesn’t display in the calendar & I get a 404 when I navigate to the event URL. I can create blog posts & pages without any issue – only with events.

    I’m not sure when this started but we first noticed it last Friday, January 31st.
    I updated to the latest version 5.0.0.1 today & have tried resaving the event & resetting my permalinks but the issues persist.

    UPDATE: I was able to fix this by unchecking Activate Block Editor for Events under Settings.

    To update my original post. I deactivated The Events Calendar Plugin as well as the Divi Compatibility extension and re-downloaded both (Plugin 5.0.0.1 and Extension 1.2.1) and activated both. All is well now. Sorry to bother you.

    Our latest version should have fixed the problems, but I guess we missed some combination of Blocks Editor and The Events Calendar.

    I will make sure this gets logged and is a known issue so we get it fixed as soon as possible,

    Please try updating and let us know if you are experiencing any further issues. As always, we recommend running updates on your?staging site?before doing so on your live site, just to be on the safe side.

    Thanks for all of your help.

    In my experience, deselecting Block Editor for Events works (if WordPress is restarted), but the latest version of The Event Calendar with Block Editor selected does not.
    Good to have a work around.
