    (@leftbutton)

When I add a new event, I put in all the info, dates, location, etc. and click publish. When I click “View Event” I get a 404 error, and when I look at the Calendar, nothing shows up.

The title of my event is still visible in the backend, but all the information is gone, and the start/end date resets to today.

I’ve tried it with basic themes, turned of other plugins, and visited the permalinks page, as suggested in other posts, but I can’t seem to get a single thing to show on the calendar… I have four events listed on the backend page, but all have defaulted to today’s date, and none appear on the calendar (or list) view.

  • Howdy leftbutton. That is a truly unique issue that I have not seen before. It does not sound like fun. :-/

I am glad you have already found those other trouble shooting steps and ran through them. That helps towards a speedier resolution. When you say “basic themes”, are you referring to Twenty Twelve, Thirteen, or Fourteen? Those would be the baseline themes that are thoroughly tested with each release of our plugin. The so called “default environment” is where you are running a stock Twenty Thirteen theme + The Events Calendar as your only plugin. It is the best environment for testing.

If you have already tried those stock themes, would it be possible for you to upload a phpinfo page to your website (details on Google if you are unfamiliar) and link to it here? We might be able to identify something unique about your environment. It would also be worth testing creating a brand new, completely fresh install of WordPress in a subdomain on your server running Twenty Fourteen and The Events Calendar. Does it suffer from the same problem? If not, then your main WordPress install is corrupted. You will have to reinstall. ??

I’m having the same issue! They show up in the backend list, but everything other than the title and description is not saved, and they don’t show up in List or Month view.

    My page is https://habitatofcleveland.org/events

Any ideas? Disabled and re enabled all the plugins with absolutely no effect. Updated jQuery with no effect.

Could this be part of the error? It’s in the developer tools console on Chrome.

Just to let you guys know, it works perfectly with version 2.0.11 of The Events Calendar

    Howdy adamwhitney,

I am glad you already tried disabling plugins. However, usually with this sort of thing the theme is one of the primary suspects. Have you tried switching to Twenty Fourteen theme AND disabling all plugins except TEC at the same time?

The jQuery error could definitely be related. Once you have tried the above, if that fixes it, simply reenable things one at a time until the issue resurfaces. There is your conflict, that’s probably the same thing causing the jQuery error. I hope this helps. Please let us know the result. Thanks!
