• When I make a new form I can send and receive mail as expected. after I alter the form I will not receive mail any more. I get the green sent successfully message. I have followed all the tips including setting up wp smtp plugin.

Something happens to the form once I alter it. Like i said new forms with default settings send and receive normally. Please help.
    thank you

  • So, once you change the content of the email, you no longer receive the email? Are you trying to receive the email at gmail?

    No not gmail Mac .com
Once I change the default form , I no longer receive the mail.

I think by default Contact Form 7 uses a From Address of your visitor.

    Would you :

    • Change the value in your From Address from [your-email] to your actual [email protected] address
    • Install an SMTP plugin to send your mac.com email through this server: smtp.mail.me.com, on port 587 with STARTTLS and password authentication.

Once you verify that works, try to change your form again and see if it still works.

    hi
I did as you suggested but it still does not receive. When i choose Use PHP I can send a test email successfully. But the form still will not receive. I cannot send and receive a test email if I leave the plugin on use SMTP. I set all settings according to your instructions using my .mac mail address and smtp.mail.me.com address.
here is my debug log, with my password Xed out:
