New Gantry Update

  • when updating to the latest plugin, it causes a crash of the website. The message is a LogicException Thrown : A filter must be an instance of Twig_FilterInterface or Twig_Simple Filter. I was able to login to the site through a direct link however the plugins page was crashed with an error screen and code. Restoring a backup brought us back online. Any idea what would cause this? There was reference to the plugin called Data Tables Generator by Supsystic. thx.

  • Upgrading to the 5.4.34 version of the Gantry 5 Framework generated the “WordPress White Screen of Death” symptoms. The site was still on WP 4.9.14 and I found that Gantry 5.4.34 was not compatible with this WordPress version so recovered by reloading a backup.

    Since then I upgraded to WordPress 5.4.1 then retried updating the Gantry 5 Framework to the latest 5.4.34 version.
    The WordPress White Screen of Death returned so I had to roll back again.

    Hi,

    Sorry for late reply. We’re using latest version of Twig in Gantry5 as it’s the only one which supports PHP 7.4 so maybe there’s a conflict between newest Twig version in G5 and older version in the mentioned Data Tables Generator plugin?

    Please try to update that plugin to the newest version or ask the developer of it if he can update the Twig inside of his plugin.

    Let me know if that fixed the issue.
