New install anda can’t login, Login page keeps reloading…

    I have two websites hosted with Lunarpages. The first runs fine.

    On the 2nd site, I installed WordPress today to /blog using Fantastico (2.6.3). When I try to login, the login page just reloads. No messages. I tried clearing my cookies, cache etc. and have tried several different computers. I even uninstalled WP and reinstalled.

    I am using the user/pass I assigned when installing. I know that it is correct.

    Any suggestions?

    I tried renaming the plugin directory as stated here, but that didn’t work either.

    This exact same thing is happening to me.

    I installed wp using fantastico to a directory called /blog, and if I go to /blog/wp-login.php then I just keep getting redirected over and over again.

    But if I go to /blog/index.php then I just get a page cannot be displayed.

    I haven’t installed any plugins or made any changes, this is a fresh install.

    I’m not getting anything on my /blog/index.php page either. Same as you. Sounds like a problem with 2.6.3? My other blog is 2.6.2 and no problems.

    more likely a problem with the auto install

    do either of you have a link to your site so we can look ?

    I figured it out. My htaccess file was causing this for some reason. It was an existing site. After WP was installed, it didn’t agree for some reason. Added the wordpress info to the htaccess file and it works now.

    Site is Sicemdawgs.com, blog is located here for now, but will be moved to the home page after testing.
