New install can't see theme thumbnails or any uploaded images

  • Cant see any theme thumbnails right off the bat and then tried image uploads and could not see them either. This was a fresh install

    I would recommend to check the upload_path value at wp_options table. If you keep that value empty, the default WordPress upload path will be wp-content/uploads.

    Thanks for responding, So to be clear, you’re recommending that it should be empty? I have checked it and there is nothing there.

    Cpanel file manager shows the path uploads/2014/03, the 03 folder reveals all the graphics I uploaded but non are visible in my wp. I have never been able to view any of the theme thumbnails right from the beginning. Could it be a corrupt install, should I pull wp out and re-install?

    i thinh you should re-install and remember using the laster version wordpress.

    So when you upload any image, they ARE placed in the uploads/2014/03 directory on your server, but you don’t see them in the admin or on your actual site?

    Can you show us a page where a picture is supposed to show up (for example a post or page that contains an uploaded image)?
