new install file download apears

  • I’m trying to install wordpress on xp with iis 5.1, when i run /wp-admin/install.php file download keeps on apearing. What seems to be the problem?

  • Do you have PHP installed and if so what version?

    It seems that you have either not installed PHP or not configured IIS to handle .php files.

    I think php is installed because i run the hello.php and phpinfo.php its working fine but when i run /wp-admin/install.php same thing file download appears, is there something i miss by the way php 5.1.6 installed and wordpress 2.7 trying to install, solution to this problem will be a big help…thanks

    hey rhadriano, did you ever get this sorted? same problem – blank install.php file keeps downloading.
