New install on Gutenberg 404 message
-
Installed plug-in on latest build of WP. Using OceanWP/Elementor with Gutenberg as native editor. Already had a page called and with the slug “knowledgebase”.
Originally activated plugin and began to configure, plugin asked about creating a page, do further indication of behavior.
Getting a 404 error after creating some articles, categories, etc.
Read FAQ and did troubleshooting, added shortcode, resaved plugin settings, etc.
Still no joy. Recreated a new knowledgebase page after renaming old one and the old plug, no change.
Explored forum, found article stating Gutenberg could be issue, disabled, still no joy. Then set the plugin to delete all data on uninstall. (BTW, this doesn’t work)
Uninstalled plugin
Deleted knowledgebase Page again
Installed and activated classic editor to test if gutenberg is issue
Reinstalled plugin (setting still show my setting change of previous install to delete data on uninstall which I didn’t think was the default, indicating that maybe it doesn’t clean all of the setting out on uninstall)Upon opening the settings and saving, creating new articles, I never got prompted to create the knowledgebase page as originally done, it was not created, and so I did it manually and added the short code, still getting 404 error on the page.
In the first attempts, after adding the shortcode, I got the menu but the articles still returned 404.
I’m pretty close to deleting this forever and leaving a review at this point.
The plugin does not appear to work on the latest wordpress as far as I can tell and worse, the uninstall scripts leave garbage behind.
If anyone has resolved this or has any work around, please advise.
Thanks in advance
