New install – worked fine, now blank

  • I had a new install of WP3.0 that worked fine.

    I had two white screen crashes with it.

    The first time I am not sure what happened, but assumed it was because of the caching plugin. After a lot of work, finally just reinstalled it all from scratch again.

    Now, it has crashed again – same as before, white screen, no content. But, this time the error occurred right after saving a post.

    The site is all white. No content showing.

    I deleted the post and related postmeta entries from the DB, and still nothing but blank white.

    Already done:
    1 – disabled plugins via phpMyAdmin
    2 – deleted all 3rd party themes (left 2010)

    Suggestions?

  • While you have disabled in the database, that does not always work. try renaming the entire plugins directory. Then create a new (empty) plugins directory and assign the same permissions as the original.
