New Install WP 4.0, cannot access dashboard after login

  • I have been unable to move my blogs to a new host, so i decided to prove that my environment was at least working by installing a brand new blog.

    I downloaded WP 4, created a new database and ran the install script. It then let me log in and redirected me to /wp-admin/ – and then hung indefinitely.

    phpMyAdmin shows the tables created, no problem. How do I resolve this?

    OSX 10.9.4
    mysql 5.5
    php 5.3.28

    The host is internal accessible only, at present. I can make it available on port 8080, only it immediately redirects to port 80, where the blog is not installed.
