New Installation – login page, admin, text editor and other things not right
-
I installed a new WP blog at https://info.nextlevelblogger.com/. Check it out…there are some issues:
1. the login page is missing the wordpress logo.
2. the left hand navigation bar in admin section is missing features (the nifty pull down menus are gone for example).
3. the wysiwyg editor is missing graphics that ought to be there.
4. the default theme looks different, like the css is customized. you will see this by visiting the blog. This is NOT how the default theme looks. Here’s the thing, I installed with simplescripts. That’s when I saw the problems. I uninstalled, deleted all remaining files and reinstalled all over again. Same problems. I did it again. Same problems. Then I downloaded a fresh copy of WP off www.ads-software.com and deleted all the files of the installation and replaced them with files from the www.ads-software.com download. Same problems.
So, I’m getting a messed up installation no matter where I download from. What the heck? I have a 2.7.1 installation from just a few days ago. I downloaded from the same place, and the blog is hosted on the same server, and everything is fine.
Is it a problem with mysql somehow? I’m completely out of ideas ??
