new installation using Softaculous cannot login

i’ve got same problem with manual installation.
when i try to show debug message, nthing show up

nope, login form show up, but no password matching even very simple password always wrong.

current php version running on server 5.6

You will be asked to provide the password you want to use, and then of course you use that.

I suspect perhaps the old database from a previous failed install was still being used.

Who’s your hosting provider?

What version of PHP are they running?

They should offer phpMyAdmin in your hosting account’s control panel, so use that to follow this guide: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Resetting_Your_Password#Through_phpMyAdmin

Following that guide, you’ll see what your user name is, and change the password *directly* in the database.

Finally, make sure that you’re trying to log in at the right place https://codex.www.ads-software.com/First_Steps_With_WordPress and not here or WordPress.com (which is a totally different thing).
