yes, that’s easy. I’ve been using wordpress for over 3 years. never seen anything like this before. someone on another forum said it might be an htaccess issue…

That’s a possible htaccess (ish?) command, I remembered just enough about it to find something basic that may help lead you to a solution. My assumption is that when you moved servers, something, somewhere, didn’t get the memo, so to speak. It’s especially common, reaching back a long ways to a hazy memory, when you go from Unix to IIS/Windows or vice-versa. If any of that sounds like it might fit, I’d contact the host and see if they can assist, the Windows side is pretty well documented iirc, because I got it fixed 4-5 years ago (guessing at time) and if I did then it must have been easy.

just got off the phone with support – said there is no differences in the move from server to server (both apache).

Yeah but apache can run on Windows and Unix ?? So … the question remains: Did you move from Unix to Unix, Unix to Windows, or Windows to Unix?

And since you mentioned .htaccess, what IS your .htaccess contents? ??

Unix freebsd 7.2 moved to Ubuntu Linux (all greek to me)

I’d start with turning off plugins and reducing the .htaccess to JUST the WordPress calls at the bottom, see if it works.
