New layout does not work properly with theme Avant

    Currently I have two issues with version 2.0.51
    1. Cannot convert the old layout to new
    2. If i select empty layout nothing happens

    Ad 1. If I select convert to new layout, then the new layout is show
    But it misses the line to accept the new layout (mybe due to colors?)
    Ad 2. If I select empty layout nothing happens, the old layout is not converted to new

    On the fronend however the layout has been changed to the new version!
    But I cannot alter it, because no new layout is created
    As this is a live site “amandi-thuis.nl” it is important that it get fixed
    I do not see any error in the debug.log
    On my other sites it is working fine (using avant template)
    What can I do to help you find where the problem lies
    I cannot disable plugins to see if this helps

    I disabled all plugins, and took a new template Twenty Twelf
    But that does not make any difference
    The post grid template is not created
    Also adding a new one does not work

    The intermediate solution I found is to import the template layout file.
    Then open the post grid and select the flat skin
    Then save this post grid
    After that the post grid can be manipulated again
    I mentioned Avant template, but that is not correct it is Vantage
    With this template, you not get a button to manipulate the converted lyaout
    With other templates the button to edit the layout is shown, but new layout is not generated !
    I am working with the latest WordPress installation
    Also switched back to PHP 7.2, but that does not make a difference
    Hope this gives you a clue where it goes wrong
