New members not being redirected to username/password registration page

  • I’ve been having problems with some of my members not being redirected to register a username/password (login registration form) after signing up for a paid membership. They get the payment confirmation from PayPal, but no redirect. Therefore, I end up having to do it manually. Can someone help me figure this out?

    Yes, and most members register fine. It’s just a select few that do not get redirected nor get an email from s2 with registration instructions.

    Then I suggest installing some logging plugins to see if you can identify the common thread between those for whom it isn’t working.

    Alternatively, you could upgrade to the Pro version, where you can use forms that do the payment and registration on your site at the same time, so this problem can’t occur.

    Do you have any logging plugins that you would recommend?

    I’d suggest Stream and Plainview Activity Monitor. Stream logs a ton of stuff, but not user agents. PAM logs less overall, but does log user agents.

    Can you link me to the feature that allows payment and registration on the same form for S2 Pro?

    You get it automatically when you use Pro Forms and link to either PayPal Pro or Stripe.
