perhaps you can take another colour in the sidebar for the headlines.
everythings there orange, perhaps it would be better and easier to use another colour, perhaps white the get this a bit more striking.

Have you ever thought of making a gradient effect by CSS and background-color only? I tried it and it worked really well… about 16 div tags though…

What would you recommend I do to get the ‘online community’ aspect of things happening? I mean I don’t even know if people want to read that kind of website or not.
