New Order email cannot be changed or added to

    I have a situation where I want the main admin email for WordPress to be my email address.
    I want the order notifications to go to another email address (the client who i built the site for)
    I am sure I have done this in the past,
    I can’t even add the other address as an additional one by separating with a comma
    I make the change by either adding just the one (new) email address or adding the new one to the admin on separated by a comma
    It say changes saved but when i go back to the email settings page it’s back to the admin (default) address
    any suggestions??

  • same problem here, new order email cannot change what ever I do.
    I am not trying to send emails to the client, but to a different, fixed address.

    Background: I installed woocommerce as an admin with username1/email_address1 and accepted the default settings. It set the recipient email addresses for new, canceled, failed orders to that default email.

    Now I want to change those addresses to something else. I succeeded changing the failed/canceled orders recipient email addresses, but cannot change the new_orders address.

    I have even changed the author of all posts/pages to another admin user, changed the role of the original admin to customer (in case it matters) but still the same.

    Any ideas?

    I changed the main admin email and now the default is the correct one for wooCommerce

    it’s just that now my client will get any admin emails now which will confuse the hell out of the poor old bugger!

    You both might be hitting the problem mentioned in this thread. As strange as it sounds, try removing the ?? emoji from the Additional Content field and re-saving.
