    Hi Diana,

    I am currently isolating an issue with my email notification.

    I would like to know if why my new order email notification is not working. I have activated it in my WooCommerce plugin settings. This email is being sent to us admins (including me).

    Do you have an idea how I can check if the email is being triggered from the backend?

    I have to manually trigger (which I am able to receive the email notification) from the Orders Dashboard. See the screenshot below.

    or does the plugin trigger the “new order” email notification?

    Hello Thomas,

    the plugin only splits the checkout page in several steps and it has nothing to do with the email notification system. It doesn’t trigger and it shouldn’t trigger the “new order” email notifications, as that is not its job.

    Could you deactivate the Multi-Step Checkout plugin for a moment and make a test order? Is the problem still persisting?

    Yes, thank you! I get it now. The culprit is another plugin for me to create a custom payment/gateway. The email notification works if I use the standard payment methods of WooCommerce, but if I select the custom payment, the “new order” email notification is not triggering it.
