    Hello, I’ve been using Woocommerce for years. For years, I sometimes don’t get a “New order notification” by email. I’ve checked all the basic settings. I get orders all day and most of them send me a new order notification by email. Sometimes (about 1 in 10 orders) it randomly doesn’t send me the “new order notification”. I can log in and click “resend new order notification” and sometimes that works, and sometimes it doesn’t. I can click that button three times before giving up and finding another way of viewing the order. It seems random. It’s not a particulr product. It’s not updates that are needed. It’s nothing I can put my finger on. It’s just randomly not sending this email when I get an order. And then sometimes I can “resend” it and it comes, and other times it won’t “resend” a new order email no matter how many times I try to get Woocommerce to send another notification. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hi,

    Are you using your server to send emails? Or are you using a dedicated SMTP server to send emails?

    In my experience, using your server (especially shared hosting) to send emails will likely to encounter issues like you described. Sometimes you will receive emails and sometimes you will not.

    Not sure if this could be the reason for your case.

    Hi! Thanks for the input! My website is hosted on an IONOS shared server, so perhaps that is causing an issue? I’m no great webmaster, but I get by, so I’m not sure what to do about this. I assume the emails come directly from my Woocommerce plugin on my website which is on a shared IONOS server. Is this something I should perhaps contact IONOS about? Thanks in advance!

    3. If you have access to your server’s email logs, this can provide more insight into what’s happening with the emails.
    4. Contact your Hosting Provider (IONOS) as they might be able to provide more insight into any potential issues with email deliverability.

    Yes, you should contact your hosting support on this and see if they can help to troubleshoot the issue.

    But actually a long term solution is to use a SMTP provider to send emails. Shared server email functions is not reliable nowadays.

    You can also install plugins like ‘Automatic email testing’ to check your email server everyday so you know when it is (not) working.

    Hello, I also started having this problem. I’m not using a shared server and I’m using an SMTP plugin for more than 6 years to send these emails.

    The ratio I’m having is also around 1/10 emails.

    Like Johnsotter said even clicking to resend the email notifications sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t.

    it seems we are having exactly the same problem.

    What are the odds of this being the result of a Woocommerce update?
