• I cannot seem to create a new page. Here are the steps I’m taking:

    I click on Manage.
    I click on pages.
I insert the data I need to insert.
    I click save.
When I scroll down to Page Preview I get this:
    “The Page cannot be found.”
When I click on View Site, and click on the tab to the page I have created I get this:
    “The Page cannot be found.”

After five hours of this I am about to run screaming for the hills so that I cannot be found.

    HELP!

  • Thanks, I’ll noodle with the code to keep Enlighten’s look intact, and check out the mistylook theme, as well.

For future readers…it was effective (if not aesthetically ideal) to copy the default header code into the enlighten header doc – I got my Pages link, and the search box to boot, albeit with a slightly disjointed appearance.

My user is having a problem. He is set to administrator level and he has written a post. He has saved and published and it will not show up on the page. The page is https://www.themidpt.com.

I have been able to publish just fine, this is his first attempt at a post and nothing is happening! Help!

hi! I understand your frustration completely! I’ve had the exact same problem! I’m not a technical/code oriented person at all so I can’t tell you why this worked for me but this is what I did to fix the problem!

    a) delete database to override existing problem of pages not working.

    b) start new database

    c) when you start new pages be very careful to fill in the page order field on the right hand side at the bottom. Assume that the example “about” page is “1” so your page should be “2”. don’t forget when you creat the next page that it should be “3” etc.

don’t ask my why but this seems to fix it!

    cheers

I upgraded to 2.3.1 and the problem still isn’t resolved. No amount of database cleaning, .htaccess tweaking, or reinstalling has fixed it yet.

since there’s so much problem, why don’t you guys just use https://wordpress.com/ instead and stop whinning here about WP sux…

On another thread I suggested to MatthewEbel to file a bug at https://trac.www.ads-software.com

etagration1, why do YOU have the attitude when only the OP is the one who had the attitude?

I have this problem just since upgrading to 2.3.1, but it’s somewhat different.

Everything’s normal until I go to view the “published” page either in the page list or the site (manually typing in the URL) — it’s just not there. I tried writing the page twice.

I put in an order number, slug name, etc. etc. Filled a lot of things out, did this twice. This is BAD I need pages. ?? I’m trying to build more content.

Please try to help nicely, long time WPer. Thanks!

I resorted to editing a draft I didn’t want and it works for now. But I ran out of drafts/pages I don’t want. ??

I have one more page to publish. Man! I shouldn’t have deleted a couple of other pages before this happened.

    Here’s what caused my problem:

    https://trac.www.ads-software.com/ticket/5333

And then they were hidden away in the drafts, odd thing is only the custom field got saved, nothing else.

I saved a draft fine now, but heading to bed!
