New pages won’t show up..

  • I’ve made manual posts and used the webcomic generator before, and they both worked fine and great for about 30 pages. But a few months ago I tried to post a new page and it just didn’t show up on the website, nor the backend section of the site. I’ve tried a few times since with multiple pages, and the images all show up in the media library but the actual posts don’t. I’ve tried making manual posts & using the webcomic generator, but it’s like updating no longer works at all. I’ve also checked to see if the posts I’m making are being set to draft or queue but they’re not.

    Is there anything I can do to troubleshoot this, any settings I should be checking, or something about the posting process I might be missing? Thank you anyone who can help, my site has been rendered basically useless until I can get this fixed, and Im finally ready to start updating the comic again ??

    I’m sorry I thought I already tried this, but it turns out the pages weren’t showing up/being counted as posts because I didn’t have anything in the text description box /o\ typing anything in there then deleting it later makes the posts go live correctly… But still doesn’t explain why the Generator is no longer working.

    Apologies for the trouble, @bilvyy. What you describe makes sense for the posts; WordPress seems to need something in the content field to handle posts correctly (this is why the Generator inserts a non-breaking space into the post content for generated posts).

    Now, why the Generator itself wouldn’t be working…?I’m not entirely sure. Does it produce any errors, or does it appear to work but doesn’t? Also, a list of active plugins may be helpful (I’m not entirely sure another plugin would actually interfere with the Generator, but you never know).
