• Cricket Moods is a WordPress plugin. It allows an author to add one or more “moods” to every post. Each mood can be associated with an image file. The result would be that the author could have an animated happy smiley face next to the words “I’m Happy!” for every post she wishes.

The difference between this mood plugin and the ones I know of that are currently available is that Cricket Moods presents you with a list of available moods when you go to create or edit a post. No need to remember your list of moods. The list of available moods is defined in a table in WordPress’s database; therefore, it is possible to rename the moods or even change a mood’s graphic without modifying every post that uses that mood.

Check it out. Make suggestions. Report bugs.

  • sounds good. cheers

I just upgraded to 2.0 and now it’s not showing any available smilies for this? I looked and they’re in the directory. I’m confused. (not that it takes much)

Yeah, I’m having the same problem (with the smilies not showing) what’s up with that? What should i do? I’m confused too. I thought it would work alot better then the Wp-grins (since wp-grins isn’t avaialbe for 2.0 yet).

I have confirmed that Cricket Moods 2.0 does not have a compatibility issue with WordPress 2.0, as far as the actual code goes. The only problem is that the default location for WP’s smilies moved from /wp-images/smilies to /wp-includes/images/smilies. Simply change the appropriate option in the Cricket Moods option panel. I will address this in version 3.0.

I just tried adding some more moods to my site, and I am now getting this error:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/janasjib/public_html/wp-content/plugins/cricket-moods.php on line 310

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, upgrading to version 3.1 of Cricket moods, everything. I even e-mailed Keith and he was stumped by this…I was wondering if anyone knew of this and how to fix it. Another friend of mine did the exact same thing and got the same error…and all we both did was add more moods to the wp-images/smilies folder on our servers. ??
