• I got fancy drop case letters on my site (woo-hoo). I did by creating a plugin. I’m making it available in case anyone else would like to give it a go. It’s straight forward and easy. Just add the plugin, activate it, update your CSS file, and you are good to go.

I believe something went wrong after I install the plugin … now I cannot login in to the Admin section.

Did you get any errors? Or could you simply not login? This is the first (and only as far as I know) time I have heard about this plugin causing this kind of problem. Could you share a little more detail?

Yes the error that I got was something simliar to this one below – reported before:
I got the following error: Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /wp-content/plugins/tg-dropcaseletter.php:71) in wp-login.php on line 257 when I tried to make a post after using the plugin. Then I couldn’t login at all because it failed on the error above.
About 5-6 errors in the same page. (different lines)
After I did the whole FTP thing I reviewed the posts again and noticed that you had recommended to go to the drop-case.php file and delete the x-tra spaces at the end; I took some time to recreate the whole scene to test it and went back to delete the x-tra spaces and that fixed it as well.
PS: Is there any way to fix the plugin to be able to display correctly on I.E?

Anon – check for spaces or carriage returns before the first <?php and after the final ?> …. 99% of the time, that’s what it’s all about.
As for making it correct in IE, that’s an issue with the way IE renders with CSS, and all I can suggest it is to futz with it. I’m not all that adept with CSS, but I know there are some here that can make CSS sing. It may be possible to set the vertical alignment to top or some thing.

Did you adjust the configuration in the plugin file?

OK, I’m a bit confused. It looks like it picked up a space as the first “letter” and tried to add it to the image path….. shoot… that’s no good. I’ll see if I can change that.

I seem to be having similiar bugs, but overall it looks good.

anyone else have that issue about the letter not showing when you place a picture at the beginning of a post?

Actually, my problem is that I can’t get the plugin from the website anymore ?? Just get a 404 error.

is there a new link for this? the one on techgnome’s site is dead, anyone help me out?

unfortunately the actual link to the plugin file is gone, i can find the page on your site, but then the link to the plugin dies. it’s trying to reference https://tannagh.com/tg-dropcaseletter.txt

Hmmmm….. you might be out of luck. Looks like I didn’t move it over when I changed addresses, and I’ve cleaned out the old one already. I’ve got a copy here, but it’s veeeeeeery old and I wouldn’t trust it. I might have a back up at home, but I can’t guarantee it. My PC at home crashed (hard) recently, and I don’t know if I got backups of the website from prior to that. I’ll take a look, but I cannot promise that I will be able to find it. If I do, I’ll …. — I was going to say I’d send you an email….. but I can’t seem to find an address on your website (verrrrry interesting site BTW) — So I’ll just re-post here on what I can find.
