    Hi there,

I am using your plugin on the latest version of WordPress (5.4.1)
The plugin works great for customising – however since I have installed it, my admin menu has become ‘frozen’ in time.

That is, when I install other new plugins which normally would add new items to the menu, these items are never added so I cannot use the new plugin unless I disable WP Custom Admin Interface

    Any help much appreciated.

    Hi @jmorgannz,

This is how it’s designed to be. There’s a button at the top of the menu which enables you to add newly added menu items, so you can click that.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply.
I did try the button that adds new items – it only adds top-level menu items.
If a plugin added a submenu item to an existing menu, it does not add it.

It should add submenus as well, but depending on how that plugin has been coded our plugin may not be able to pick up on the sub menu items. Therefore these submenu items need to be rebuilt or you may need to start again. The pro version allows you to have multiple menus. Thanks,

Hi. can I enable new plugin item to be automatically added to the menu? In my case the client should be free to add his own chosen plugins. Is there a way to do it? May be adding some custom function to child theme or similar?

@crisgiada there’s a button at the top of the menu which enables you to add newly added menu items to an existing menu.

The pro version handles this automatically – please check out Custom Admin Interface Pro. Thanks,
