• My personal portfolio, running on wordpress 2.7 with a modified NGGallery powering the slideshows.

    Check it out at https://tobiasahlin.com

What could be better — what could be worse? Is something annoying you? What do you like? Any comments or feedback is highly appreciated ??

  • It’s very clean and, well “simple” (only in a good way). I really like how you have modified wordpress there: I’m trying to create something similar atm.

If there would be something to work on I’d modify the “show” bar. It looks good now, but it quite doesn’t fit with the other scheme.

But all and all: it’s one of the most beautiful wordpress sites I have ever seen.

You Phtoshop/other work is also very good. I’ve done similar kind of things for fun about 1,5 years now and I’m not nearly as good as you are.

    Tobias,

This is one of the most original and well executed WordPress sites I’ve ever seen. I love the curling page effect for the hover states. My only criticism it is that you could use a little more contrast between some of your different shades of gray. It’s a little too subtle for those of us with less than perfect eyesight. All in all I have to say that the site is gorgeous.

I love it, could you tell us how you got the buttons to sort your post/pages by category

    Really, really, really nice.

Thanks guys! I didn’t expect that. I’m glad your digging it.

Chrisber: Good point! I’ve been thinking about slightly increasing the contrast, but I wasn’t sure if it was necessary. I’ll get on it, thanks ??

raptrex: There’s a tutorial over at nettuts+ to achieve the filter effect: Creating a “Filterable” Portfolio with jQuery. When you’ve got the script running it’s all about connecting it to WordPress. I simply created categories inside WordPress and the echoed them out as classes for each object in the loop. Hope that made some sense ??

    nice work
