• I have switched back from a another theme to a default theme from wordpress. Now when i try to edit my home page i get this message: New post gives “You are currently editing the page that shows your latest posts.

I no others have had this problem and posted something about modify the wp_post table adding the primary key to de “id” field. But i am still very much a rookie and require a little more direction.

To add a post, use NEW->POST. Your home page is a list of the most recent posts.

Sorry but i am going to need a little more. Where do i put that Code? and will it work even though I am trying to edit a page and not a post?

What code? From the admin bar at the top, click NEW then select POST or PAGE.

senseicorner, were you ever able to figure this out? I have the very same problem.

Apparently my AUTO_INCREMENT in my wp_posts table was gone. Adding it to the ID did the trick. More tables suffered this problem. Perhaps some plugins can fix this.
