New Post shows up as Comment on Page

I have installed a new WordPress on my hosting. I created an About page, and then started writing posts.

Now, whenever I publish a post, it asks me to moderate it as a comment on my About page.

I’ve gone through all the settings, but don’t see anything that would cause this.

Any thoughts?

Wordpress 4.7.4
Theme: Adventurous
Installed plugins: Akismet Anti-Spam, Loginizer, WPForms Lite

That’s really odd!

Just to check, the new post/page publishes successfully, right?

Are you sure you’re not seeing the same comment that need moderation? Do you delete the comment each time? If that doesn’t work, what happens if you disable comments on the about page?

Hope you can get this resolved!

Hello,
There are no comments. There is a page and a couple of posts. All published successfully. I’ve been putting the comment in the “Trash”.

I’ve disabled the comments on the about page and added a test post, and everything seems okay. Hopefully that resolved it, but it’s still pretty weird!

I’ve used WordPress several times before and never had this happen. Thanks for the help. I’ll reply to this post if it occurs again.
