New Posts no longer content

  • After the new wordpress update my posts no longer show any more content, media or even text. If I add any content in the post then hit preview, post or even switch from visual to text all the content disappears. The preview used to show a 404 but ran a core force update as well as replacing the .htaccess with the default one again to be sure.

    Troubleshooting already completed:
    – Core force update
    – disabled the plugins manually
    – changed to default theme
    – Ran a permissions update
    – themes and plugins are all up to date
    – re-saved permalinks

    All the old post are totally fine, uploading new content is fine, there seem to be no issues, but only when I try to post. My other wordpress sites seem to be fine, it is just this one blog of mine. Seeing if anyone has any fix for this before I try to roll it back to over version. Thanks.

    Actually checking on the older posts, which display on the site, they are fine viewing on the site, but when I edit them, they also disappear.

    After updating and removing the jetpack plugin per recommendation of a friend, there was a change. It appears the visual editor seems not to work, it only works if I modify in the text editor first. Example video:

    I have a website that is experiencing the same issue. Not sure why at the moment. But, when pasting in the article content in the “Text” side, then click “Visual” it disappears. But, when clicking “Text” it is there. So, the content is not displayed in Visual mode. Hmmm….

    So, the most recent plugin update that I had was Gravity Forms. Once I deactivated Gravity Forms, then the switching worked as normal. I then re-activated Gravity Forms and it works better – but it is still a little buggy.

    @blackfox1985 – Do you have Gravity Forms installed? Can you deactivate and let me know the outcome?

    Please disregard my previous replies… I tracked it down to an abandoned plugin that was causing the issue….
