New posts not showing in google search after updates to WordPress SEO and 3.5.2.

Usually when I submit a post, my urls get indexed in google in about 8-12 hrs. But I just had to manually submit a url to get it to show up in google search as it was more than a day and it wasn’t showing.
Recent changes to my site just include updating this plugin and updating to wordpress 3.5.2.
Could this be at all related to those updates, or is something else the culprit?
It’s worth noting that the url did appear in the site map, but not in google search until I did the manual individual submission. I use the XML sitemap plugin, not the one supplied with this plugin.
And prior to these issues my site (hostgator) was down for about 1/2 an hour. But they told me this wouldn’t affect new posts. Not sure if that is accurate, but wanted to add that factor in as well.
Anyone else having this issue?
