Today we would like to announce that we have added Google Charts as an option for your chart and graph display to WP Business Intelligence Pro. While we have a limited release of Google Charts at the moment, we will add more of their chart types in the near future. That is not the only update in this release, please see all of our updates below.

    Google Charts Support Added
We have added Google Charts as a library option bringing our total to 3 charting libraries available for your business intelligence dashboards and big data visualization needs.

We added Google Charts because they offer chart types that are more difficult to implement from other sources and their library is well maintained to keep it bug and error free.

Google Charts in our plugin currently uses the same color palette options as Chart.js and Britecharts.

    Google Charts Chart Types Added
With the launch of Google Charts as a library option we are including 3 chart types with more to come soon. Read more about Google Charts on their website here: https://developers.google.com/chart

    – Google Charts Line chart
    – Google Charts Stepped Area Chart
    – Google Charts Gauge chart

    New Chart.js Charts Added
We added more Chart.js chart types to round out the bulk of the Chart.js’ current available library options. Read more about Chart.js on their website here: https://www.chartjs.org/

    – Chart.js Vertical Bar Charts
    – Chart.js Horizontal Bar Charts
    – Chart.js Stacked Bar Charts
    – Chart.js Stacked and Grouped Bar Charts
    – Chart.js Multi-axis Line Charts
    – Chart.js Stepped Line Charts
    – Chart.js Doughnut Charts
    – Chart.js Multi-series Pie Charts
    – Chart.js Stacked Bar Line Combo Charts
    – Chart.js Stacked Line Charts
    – Chart.js Stacked Radar Charts

    Bug Fix
We fixed two bugs in this release.

The first is a bug previously reported by a Lite user and discovered in our Pro version. This bug was unlikely to cause any issues with your WP Business Intelligence but may have been a reason for some rare instances of the plugin being deactivated. You can read about that bug and our fix for it here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/3-1-9-bug-fix/

The second is a small PHP change where we had used older code for “session_start” and replaced it. This bug was also not implicated in any known issues with our plugin but was something we replaced to ensure compliance with future versions of PHP.

As always you can view our public changelog at any time here: https://www.wpbusinessintelligence.com/changelog/

We have also added a new public roadmap. While it is a little vague our hope is that it helps developers plan for our future releases and features.

And if you missed it we now have a Known Issues page live as well to transparently track all issues we are currently dealing with and compatibility with other plugins/themes: https://www.wpbusinessintelligence.com/known-issues/
