    HI,

I added a new product to my woocommerce shop and published it, yet it’s not showing up. I also noticed that one older product is not showing up anymore although it says published in product page.

I think there should be 2 pages to my shop page as it’s quite full, however, there’s only one page and no button to go to page 2.

I’ve had a number of issues with woocommerce earlier this year.

I have just updated to version after trying this, 4.0 but it hasn’t changed anything.

Any tips appreciated as I want to make those products available asap.

    thank you

@jane-c When new changes made to a site do not appear immediately, most often the cause of this is caching. You’ll want to check if you have any caching plugins enabled on the site. If you do, disable them and test to see if the changes appear.

If you don’t have any caching plugins, reach out to your host and ask them to disable any caching they may have activated at the server level.

As for the second issue, related to the lack of pagination, you may want to check that your theme does offer support for pagination, or that there is no other plugin causing a conflict. Here’s what I’d suggest:

You’ll want to temporarily switch your theme to Storefront. Then, disable all plugins on the site except for WooCommerce, and test for the issue.

If the problem is gone, you’ll then have to re-enable features one by one, while testing for the issue, until you find out which one is causing this behavior.

We recommend that these steps are taken on a staging site, which is a clone of your live site that you can modify without risking making any permanent damage to your live site. You can create it using a plugin like WP-Staging. This plugin lets you copy and redeploy a WordPress site with minimal work.

    I hope that helps!

    Hi Fernando,

    Thank you for your response.

I cleared the cache using w3 total cache plugin, but that didn’t work.
In terms of the pagination, there was already 2 pages before in the shop so I know my theme offers that,(Divi theme) but now it’s gone and there’s just one page. What I’ve noticed is that when I click on a product, I can see one of the products that isn’t showing on the shop page, in the ‘related products’ area below, which tells me that it’s published and live, but the lack of pagination means you can’t otherwise get to it. The second new product I added is not showing at all. (this one has an MP3 audio plus 2 x PDF’s).

I’ve downloaded the WP-Staging plugin, but this seems quite complicated to go through this process – is there a step by step guide as to how to do each part?

Thank you again for your help,

    Jane

I just tried adding a new simple test product and it showed up at the top of the shop page, thus bumping the last product to the next page which isn’t visible. So it seems to be an issue with pagination for starters.

And possibly the type of product. Because the last one had 3 downloads in it and it hasn’t showed up.

How can I ‘re-paginate’ if that’s an expression? Is there an option in woocommerce to click to add/show extra pages?

    Thank you
    Jane

@jane-c Even if pagination was working in the past, it doesn’t rule out the possibility of a new conflict causing this issue.

I’d still recommend completing a full conflict test, like described in my last message (switching to the Storefront theme and disabling ALL plugins except for WooCommerce).

Here’s a video tutorial from WP-Staging, in case that helps with setting up the staging site: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ye3fC6cdB3A&feature=youtu.be

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
