• I am just beginning to use Ultimate Membership and created a NEW Registration Form. I then used the Shortcode to insert into the page. Everything looks fine and works.

Except when I press the “REGISTER” button.

It spins for a second, then returns the error: Oops! That page can’t be found.
It looks like nothing was found at this location. Maybe try a search?

I can’t find any reference to which page it is trying to access. The form is doing its job and recording the data properly, but the next page is not there.

    Path: jabeztrust.com > About > “..”
Go to jabeztrust.com. click menu “About” under About click the double “..

    Any help would be welcome.

    Hi @richcb7

Did you assign the user page in the UM Page settings? Please go to WP admin > Ultimate Member > Settings > General > Pages > see User page. The user page should have the Profile shortcode.

    Thanks, Camp Camba,

This is confusing. The UM Settings page is set to call to USER, and there is a page identified as “User — UM User“. When I open it, all that is in it is the shortcode: [ultimatemember form_id=”1677″]. When I activate the USER page it is opening and the message is the one above, indicating that [ultimatemember form_id=”1677″] DOES NOT EXIST.

Did Ultimate Member fail to create the page or data that is called by this shortcode?
How do I fix this one?

    Thanks,
    Richard..

    Hi @richcb7

You can check the Profile Form ID in the WP Admin > UM > Forms. See if it matches the Form ID added in the shortcode. The account page looks okay: https://jabeztrust.com/account

Looks like I have a problem with the file structure.
Under the WP-Admin folder, there is NO folder labeled ‘UM’

I did a search on the entire file structure for “UM” and found several PHP and JS files that contain “UM”. But these are executable files, not data stores. I searched for variations and all I could find were executable files. No folders were found.

Is there a way to rebuild and/or reinstall the structure?

    Thanks,

    Thread Starter Richard B.

    (@richcb7)

    PS.
There really should be a tool to verify and/or repair the file structure when this happens. While it may be possible to fix this issue, who’s to say that it won’t happen to another file.

    Hi @richcb7

It’s not clear what you mean by “Is there a way to rebuild and/or reinstall the structure?”.

Are you trying to customize UM templates? Or do you want to uninstall UM and then reinstall it again. You can try enabling the “Remove Data on Uninstall?” in WP-Admin > Ultimate Member > Settings > Misc.

At this point, I am trying to get the application itself to be fully functional. I installed the plugin and did not get any errors when activated. I assumed it was installed and working correctly. The first thing I did was create a registration form for my user. When I tested it *BANG* I got the error that prompted this query.

As such, the installation of the plugin did not go as planned, thus causing the error. I have no way of knowing if other errors exist as we build out from this point. Therefore, my previous message on how to correct what has happened so far as well as avoid other hidden errors from happening.

    Thank you,

    Hi @richcb7

I tested the issue again on your site and the User page is missing. Please try creating a new User Page with slug user and then assign that page in the UM > Settings > General > Pages > User page.

Add this shortcode in the new User page as a content:
    [ultimatemember form_id="1677"]

Hello, sorry for the delay, I had a system failure I needed to fix.

    Ok, so onward.
Went to look and I did have a USER page with the shortcode [ultimatemember form_id=”1677″] but was returning the previously mentioned error.

So, I deleted that page and recreated it with the slug “user” and shortcode [ultimatemember form_id=”1677″]. I went into UM Setting and made sure that under General > Pages the User page was set to USER.

I double-checked the form page and looked to see if there was a page name to call setting, but did not see anything.

I filled out the registration form again clicked the “Register button”…and got: Oops! That page can’t be found. It looks like nothing was found at this location. Maybe try a search?

Oh, Joy! Isn’t this wonderful? I am having so much fun today.

    What do we do next?

I tried to do a test after the UM update – I filled out the form and got the following error:

“An error has been encountered. Probably page was cached. Please try again.”

I cleared the browser cache and tried again. Got the same thing.

    Cached? Where?

    Not sure?? Is this progress?

    Thank you,

    Richard B.

    Hi,

Can you do a conflict test and see if the issue goes away? This doc explains how to do a conflict test if you are not sure: How to do a plugin/theme conflict test?

    Regards,

    Thread Starter Richard B.

    (@richcb7)

Okay, In order to do a conflict test there are certain requirements.
    1. Can’t shut down the live site, so I copied it to a staging site.
    2. I disabled all the plugins except ultimate membership.

    STILL, UM PAGES NOT WORKING.

    3. I deleted the UM plugin and pages expecting they would be recreated when the plugin was reinstalled. However, when I installed the plugin nothing happened!

Really?! How can an installation app not have the logic to validate and rebuild its own structure? That’s one of the first things I learned when developing applications. When first installed the app must build its own structure. Why disable that functionality? The program needs the logic to monitor and correct basic functionality like missing files.
