• Hello,

Some of my students reported that after filling up the Registration Form at the Direct to Checkout Purchase Link:?https://substancialsocial.com/caminhosdaluz-test/purchase/?plan=1461, accepting the Terms of Use and clicking on “Register Now” – they are sent to their profile page inside wp-admin. Other students are sent correctly to the course they are registrating.

They went to the Checkout page after clicking at the “Register Now” button from the LifterLMS Pricing Table feature.

My course is free, so there’s no payment process.

Question 1: How can I fix this to be sure that all students are redirected to the correct page (page of the course they enrolling) and not to the wp-admin.

Question 2: The Registration Form from this Purchase Page [lifterlms_checkout] is showing the E-mail field twice (image attached) + the Email Confirmation field. When I try to edit this at LifterLMS > Forms > Checkout there are the Email Address (Reusable) and the Password (Reusable) I don’t know which block shouldn’t be there and can be safely erased.

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

UPDATE: I have managed to fix the problem on the Question 2.

But the Checkout Redirect is still directing users to their wp-admin profile, not the course enrolled. The strange thing is that at the Course settings the option selected is “Default – Back to Course

    Hi @himidia,

I’m glad you were able to solve question 1. As for question 2, we are not able to replicate that same issue on our demo/test sites when the only plugin installed is LifterLMS 8.0.0 and nothing else while the active theme is the Twenty Twenty-Five theme. Since we cannot reproduce the same issue on our end, it is possible that some theme or 3rd party plugin is causing the redirect to wp-admin/. As a result, kindly rule out theme conflicts and plugin conflicts.

    • Rule out theme conflicts. Please temporarily switch from your current theme to any other?default theme (e.g., the Twenty Twenty-Five theme)?on your WordPress site. Then, check your website again. If the problem disappears, then there might be some conflicts with the theme. If there are theme conflicts, please?update the conflicting theme?if there are updates available. If the update does not fix the issue or if there are no updates available, please reach out to the support team of the conflicting theme. Please also let us know about the conflict.
    • Rule out plugin conflicts. If the issue persists after you switched to a default theme, please deactivate all plugins on your website except the?LifterLMS core plugin. Check to see if the issue disappears. If the issue disappears, then there is a plugin conflict somewhere. If there is a plugin conflict,?reactivate each plugin one at a time?until the problem re-appears. If you find the conflicting plugin,?please update the conflicting plugin if there is an update available. If the update does not fix the issue or if there are no updates available, please reach out to the support team of the conflicting plugin. Please also let us know about the conflict.

Thanks for the reply, Nick @reddotinmotion

Yes, I’m checking for possible conflicts with other plugins.

But as it is a mistake that is not repeated by all students, it is really difficult to replicate.

During my research here on the forum, I saw a case in which the user entered the registration page, registered successfully (but was not linked to any course), then when they logged in they were directed to their wp-admin profile. I don’t know if it’s a similar case, because in my case the button that the user clicked was from the Pricing Table.

    Another question related to login/register:
I’m using the Astra theme (free version) and it allows me to insert a login button in the header. I was using this option to place a link for the student’s login or registration / or link to the Dashboad (if logged in). The link I used was: https://substancialsocial.com/caminhosdaluz-test/dashboard

As it is a theme integrated with LifterLMS, I believed it would work correctly, but after logging in, the link to this button is disabled, and therefore there is no way for the student to access their Dashboard. Is there a native solution from LifterLMS itself to insert a similar button that directs non-logged-in users to the login/registration page or to the dashboard, if they have already registered for a course?

    Thanks

    Hi @himidia,

Thank you for your patience. I enrolled in the course using the link you provided for access plan 1461. As soon as the enrollment was finished, I was redirected to the course page (and not on /wp-admin/). Is the issue already fixed?

Since the issue does not happen on my end when enrolling on a course on your website, then if you still experience the same issue on your end, this could only mean that your redirects are being cached. In this case, you or your students could try using a different browser and see if the issue happens there.

Regarding your question about adding sign-in and sign-out buttons in your site’s navigation menu, you can add the Sign In and Sign Out from of LifterLMS by navigating to WordPress Dashboard > Appearance > Menus. You will find the Sign In and Sign Out links from LifterLMS under Add menu items > LifterLMS. Kindly let us know if this solution works for you.

    Hello Nick @reddotinmotion,

Thanks so much for the reply. Yes, I will try to empty the cache and use a different browser to see if the redirect still happens.

Also thanks for the info about the Sign-in/Sign-out option – I was using the Astra theme solution but it seems that the LifterLMS is more trustable at this point.

    Thanks
