New reviews only show after clearing cache

@mick69145 The plugin’s cache clear will clear all of its cached data and force a new retrieval through the Places API (provided the last one wasn’t run too recently).

Please compare the Retrieved Data with the result on your page. If there is a discrepancy here, it will be caused by your page caching. The plugin caches reviews and this will be incorporated into a third-party caching service – so it can decide when to remove this data.

If you deploy any caching, it will be a balance between speed and accuracy. However, in your case, I would prioritise speed over the accuracy of the overall count, particularly as it’s placed at the top of every page.

There was a difference between the data in the plugin and the actual data in Google reviews. I am referring to the number of reviews. Emptying the server cache and WP Rocket was not the solution. I had to empty the cache in the plugin. Then everything was in sync.

I just changed the interval for syncing from weekly to daily. Perhaps this will cause the number of reviews to update. It should sync without clearing cache.

I’ll let you know if this is not the solution either.

@mick69145?It sounds like just changing the retrieval frequency to every hour will resolve this mater. The “clear cache” is a manual version of the same, with some additional data-clears.
