new server, white screen,godaddy

  • Hello I am currently having a problem with well… everything we had a shared godaddy.com account and it was awfully slow, so we decided to purchase a dedicated server.

    once we purchased the server I backed up the files created databases and did all that edited the wp-config. I am currently at a loss, I have read threw every document I could find relating to this and I am sure its just 1 line of code that I missed or something a long those lines..

    the original wordpress site is

    the new site is
    https://www.level22expo.net/lv22wp

    I forgot to add when I load the .net I get ” Error establishing a database connection” so I am assuming its a data base error, however I added the log in and password, and I have tried data base location as “localhost” (godaddy support told me to) and my IP address and also the relative path of /var/lib/mysql/lv22wp

    so I am hoping one of you will be like “hey you are slightly stupid have you tried this” so I could get all YESSS IT WORKED!

    you will need check with your Go daddy support and ask then exactly what are you suppose to use for database connections.

    talking to godaddy support is as useful as talking to my dog, as soon as you get their dedicated server service they cannot help you with anything…

    and at least my dog is snuggly

    You mean you are paying them for dedicated server and they do not support
