New set up 'X Theme'

Help required, can anyone please resolve this issue..

I have installed the brilliant new ‘X Theme’ from theme forest. I chose not to download and extract demo/template files, instead opting to do an original and unique design stating from scratch.

Very happy with the results, only problem – homepage! It seems to be set on a default blog layout which I cannot seem to change, I simply would like to have a homepage with NO BLOG, however I do like the fact I have a strapline/about/statement as an intro on my homepage instead of having an added ‘about’ page.

Can someone please take a few moments of their time to take a look at my site davenoblecreative.com and see if they can help, please.
