• Hi, I seem to have a problem getting the new shipping zones to work. I’ve got my shipping divided in three zones:

Free Shipping for orders over R700.00
Local Delivery: Western Cape Cost: 50.00 * [qty]
    Big Products: 65.00 * [qty]
    Small Products: 50.00 * [qty]
National Delivery: Rest of South Africa Cost: R100

I either get a message saying: There are no shipping methods available. Please check your address or contact us if you need any help.

Or it is charging R100 for all regions.

I’ve tried changing the order of the zones but it is not working. All my regions are selected with the default drop down box under Regions so I don’t think there is a problem with that.

I hope someone can help please?

    Many Thanks
    Tash

They match in order from top to bottom. Your south africa zone will match first so others are ignored. Remember you can add multiple methods to a zone. You don’t need to define 1 zone for 1 method.

Oh perfect. I changed it and it is now working perfectly. Thank you so much!

Just one last question please. I now have to switch to using postcodes as she has different prices for different towns in the Western Cape. Is there any easy way to import postcodes or is it literally putting each one in one by one. There are hundreds of them! I’m willing to purchase a plugin if needed but obviously would prefer not to.

Good to hear Mike’s suggestion worked for you!

As for importing shipping zones: right now, there’s no way to do that yet (sorry!), so you will need to do them one by one. We’re hoping to add that on a later date, but there is no ETA for that yet. Keep an eye on the updates and if you’d like, you could add this to our ideas board: https://ideas.woothemes.com – that way our developers know what solutions our customers need as they can be voted up and prioritized based on demand.

    Thanks!

Thanks goodness for good old excel – it wasn’t a major job after all. Thank you Ines, I’ll do that!

I’ve come across one problem. When I add the code to hide other shipping methods when free shipping is available to the child theme’s functions.php – got it from here:

    https://docs.woothemes.com/document/hide-other-shipping-methods-when-free-shipping-is-available/

(using the code for 2.6+ as I have 2.6.2) I get a blank screen when the shopping cart is updated. I’ve added a screenshot to the dropbox folder:

    https://www.dropbox.com/sh/8rt657nrg54rbav/AAABfutu_HgLzumuN-UXc2zZa?dl=0

When I refresh the page the shopping cart returns but obviously not ideal. There is nothing else in the functions.php and I’m using Mystile. Any ideas please?

Make sure you didn’t include 2 opening code tags in your functions.php – that would error.

“Sorry, it seems that there are no available payment methods for your state. Please contact us if you require assistance or wish to make alternate arrangements.”

If I check the shipping zones, my province (British Columbia) is listed under Western Canada

The only payment option available is Paypal, so I was hoping that the Proceed to Checkout button would disappear. No such luck.

    My plugins are:
    bad Behavior
    Google Analytics
    Fast Secure Contact Form
    Limit Login Attempts
    WooCommerce
    WooCommerce Paypal Express Checkout Gateway.
