New site for a new catering business. Critiques? Comments? Ideas?

The website title (text) and header is kind of small and looks a bit odd. However it looks like you really have 2 headers at the moment above and below the navigation menu. Maybe move the image logo up the top instead of the text title?

Yes, it’s theme twenty twelve, and it does kinda have two headers. The site title above the menu, and a banner below it. After thinking about it for a while, I decided the site title would just be there for the search engines. That’s why it’s kind of small and pale. I didn’t want it to push the actual page body any lower in the browser window than necessary, and I decided I didn’t really want it to attract the site visitors’ attention away from the main content.

Putting the banner at the very top would’ve been ideal, but I couldn’t find a way to get theme twenty twelve to let me do that.

Do I maybe need to re-think?

Its definately a great start. Is that your food used for the images? In my opinion, you may want to invest in a photographer to get some high quality images of your food.

Actually, two photography sessions are scheduled for tonight. I’ll see the new photos in the morning.
