New Site or Add to Existing?

    I’m a writer and very happy with my https://annekleinberg.com site. I would like to add a new section/site – for Mediterranean recipes. I’m debating about a new site (.org or .com ?) or whether to add another section to my existing annekleinberg.com site (its an .org). If I add a section, I’ll want a different header. Advice would be much appreciated.

  • you could just create a folder – /recipes or whatever and install wordpress there
    that way you can have a completely different theme

    then link to it from your root site

    Thanks Samuel. I’m a bit behind the times when it comes to working with code – and I’d rather than have to teach myself all that. The problem is not how to do it – but rather should I? Would there be an advantage (SEO?) to creating a whole new site and link from mine, or create it within my site?

    the seo is the same either way

    Thanks again. I’m discovering that adding a custom header to certain pages is not possible with my theme (Magazine Basic), so indeed I may have to go the new site route. I recognize the importance of owning the domain name, but do you recommend .org over .com or vice versa?

    I would go with .com as you are not really an organization
