• Hi All,

I have had this problem for a month now and can not seem to get a resolution.

When the user signs up for a new site, the end result is the user signs up for the main blog and the new blog becomes the owner of the admin…

Now this happened when I upgraded to the new version of wordpress.

I have however got a few plugins including but not limiting to a plugin to stop the registration email… if I turn this off however the wordpress registration email no longer works…

So I can’t get any new sites at the moment… very annoying ??

the new blog becomes the owner of the admin…

    Sorry… what?

The end user signs up for a blog.

They end up on the main site (normal)

They are the admin of their own site (also normal).

no, they are not the admin of their site, the main admin is the admin of that site and the new user is not an admin of any site

Are you running any plugins about registration?

yep a few but I turned them all off and the registration email never came through, I have also set up another multi site to duplicate and I don’t get the same issue.

So finding it very confusing :/

    – terms and conditions
    – no email verification

Then it’s either another plugin or your main site’s theme doing this.

hmm that is so strange then.

Tried turning all plugins and everything worked before hmm ok i’ll try changing theme

Everything worked before … What? There was a point when it stopped working? When was that? What changed? ??

before the upgrade, it’s the only thing that changed during that time.

I turned everything off and the email set up didn’t work hmm

Did you change your main site’s theme back to Twenty Eleven?

man trying to log on is a B*TCH lol

so went back to original.. still nothing.

The only thing I can think of is literally going back to scratch. Delete everything, but then what if the database is faulty.

    foooook

ok so when I turn all plugins off and sign up… I get… no confirmation email.

    bah very upset.

my other website set up the same is working fine. so it must be a specific error

ok so it’s either a database corruption or the config file, both of which I do not have access to right now.
